- The mood at the Hall of Fame ceremony was very emotional for all WWE superstars. As noticeable on television, several of the superstars broke down during Ric Flair's acceptance speech and were unable to hold it together despite their hardest efforts. One worker said that it is going to be even harder tonight when Ric Flair walks through the curtain for his match against Shawn Michaels.
- Flair has said on record that if he loses tonight he will never wrestle again.
- Vince McMahon was at the Hall of Fame ceremony last night. He was working backstage instead of sitting with his family.
