There are once again some backstage rumblings about SmackDown going live on Friday nights. While Vince still views RAW as his top priority, many within the company now feel SmackDown is equal to the Monday night show if not slightly above it.
Most of the SmackDown crew is still happy doing a pre-taped show because it’s much less hectic than a live program. There used to be a lot of post-production on Michael Cole’s commentary where he would re-record certain parts after the taping, but Jim Ross hasn’t had to do that since joining SmackDown.
